The ETAS Group is strongly represented in the UK by ETAS limited which has multiple geographic locations.

ETAS Limited was established in October 2001 to serve our customers in the United Kingdom and Ireland and offers the full range of ETAS products for all stages of the ECU development cycle.

ETAS Limited’s York office hosts the ETAS Group Centre of Excellence for Embedded Software Development. The York location has been part of ETAS since 2003 and is responsible for the development of real-time operating systems and basic software for the automotive industry. To date more than 1 billion copies of the ETAS York operating system have been deployed and are driving on the roads globally. ETAS York embedded excellence now powers new global business units responsible for embedded software consultancy and implementation services, and supports global ETAS product development wherever high levels of embedded software competence are required – for example, supporting the ETAS subsidiary ESCRYPT GmbH in the development of embedded security products.

In its Manchester location ETAS Limited hosts the Mobility Services and Solutions group which is shaping the next level of vehicle health by developing integrated authoring and diagnostic solutions with relevant repair and service data for manufacturing and workshops. Included in the solutions offered is connected cross-lifecycle diagnostics with automated content generation ready to go. The Manchester location has been part of ETAS since 2024.
