PGC-1000 V1.8.0 is the Q3/2024 release of PGC-1000.

The PGC-1000 is a PCIe card providing high-performance GigE vision compatible video data logging and replay capabilities to the user. Therefore, it provides QSFP+ connectors (capable up to 40Gb Ethernet) for connectivity and features a Xilinx FPGA (Ultrascale+ technology) with up to 24GB of DDR4 memory that can be utilized for frame buffering. It contrast to pure GigE vision software solutions, the card offers a significantly reduced CPU load as the image processing ((un-)packing of image frames) is off-loaded from the CPU to the FPGA.

The image data is provided to the receiving (recording use case) or is received from the providing (replay use case) application via an API provided by a software library. The software library and hardware driver for the PCIe card is available for Windows as well as for Linux.

Besides the hardware driver and software library, a flashing program is provided to the customer allowing him to update the firmware on the PCG-1000 card.
