BOA (Basic Open API) – ECU and bus interface packages

  • ETAS ECU and Bus Interfaces – Distribution Package
    The ECU and Bus Interfaces Distribution Package (EBI Distribution Package) is the basic installer for all users of ETAS open API, e.g. users of ETAS hardware together with INCA or 3rd party applications. It contains all components required to run pre-built client applications, i.e. drivers for accessing ETAS hardware directly or via the J2534 interface.

    This package is included in the INCA installation.
    3rd party applications can use this package as a BOA (Basic Open API) redistributable.
     
  • ETAS ECU and Bus Interfaces – Integration Package (EBI-IP)
    The ECU and Bus Interfaces Integration Package (EBI Integration Package) is a full Software Development Kit installer, which contains the runtime framework, the framework development add-on, source code for some example applications, and the user documentation.

    The EBI-IP installer is the standard BOA installer for development; it is intended for use by 3rd party developers to integrate ETAS hardware into a 3rd party tool via BOA.
